Years ago, before I married, I had an on-the-job injury in a print shop and because the ink contained metal, the ER gave me a tetanus shot. At the time, I didn't know the danger of vaccines, and didn't know that it wasn't just a tetanus shot, but likely a DTaP shot.
The injury healed quickly but I had to take 2 weeks off work because my reaction to the shot was so bad. I never felt worse.
Later, when I was married and pregnant, I looked into childhood vaccines and saw the danger.
Turns out, others in my family had vaccine injuries. You don't always think of vaccines, because they are touted as safe and effective. They don't want you to make the connections.
