While I do agree with the general sentiment here about it being wrong, I asked my grand parents about care 50-60 years ago and they had to deal with a lot of behind the back care that they didn’t want. C section or induction was forced in many cases at hospitals and my grandma had to fight tooth and nail to stop it and have a natural birth. Usually birth happened under anesthesia too. The mother would be out cold, things would happen, once the birth would be done the mother would wake up. So who knows what would happen to the baby…

And why many parents or women in particular has no attachment to their child. Drugged during birthing
