My daughter's best friend was almost on this list. He was a 1LT then and had his platoon about 150y away. His friend, the other 1LT commanded the Marine platoons hit hardest.
Grateful he was spared but so angry about the horrific loss and injuries...💔🤬
Yeah, it's definitely a day I'll remember. Pulling out printed imagery and taking pictures and sending via text, watching it on TV live, cursing Biden....Not a happy day to remember. I've been through KIA so many times I lost count. Worst part of the journey to get there.
Like the fall of Saigon...not all good people got out, especially the locals who worked as aides, translators, guides and their families...a dark day.
