And it also exculpates Trump from retroactive blame as the evidence has now been put out there that the continuing WH was the one forcing bullshit and compliance, not his outgoing one.

It's like when Trump made the 'find me the votes' phonecall to Kemp, knowing full well it would be leaked - because he knew that eventually the truth will come out and back him up. 'You've got to show the people'.
