I read recently that corn fed steak is so expensive now, that grass fed beef is becoming a profitable endeavor for Farmers. Another interesting bit of farming trivia. A hundred years ago, many farms existed to grow grass to send to Cities to feed all the City work horses. Up until the invention of the automobile, all people lived their lives near and around horses. That connection goes back 1000's of years. There must be something lost in the human experience without that connection to horses.
When there is a food shortage, you're going to learn to love that smell when you drive your Ciy Slicker self out to the Countryside, and trade your Persian Carpet for a few dozen eggs.
