I thought it was a troll when people mentioned that part of the book. Who would think that, write it down and have a publisher leave it in the book?

Wasn’t there some convoluted reason why all the kids had to have sex with the girl? So they could calm down the think of a way to escape or something?

Ive never read It, but I've had first hand accounts from people who live in King's town or have met him in person; even the people who like his writing all say he's a creepy guy.
