These days I find in gaming and anime conventions/communities, it's usually a lot of pasty gay white liberals who have so much self-hatred for being American, that they flood the video game and anime communities which were sort of Asian culture. From what I've seen at conventions, it's usually the self hating white kids who wanna be anything else besides American, so they have that "alt look" and think it's suddenly cool to be in the anime community. Except they're usually gay, so you'll see them crossdresser. Girls dressing up as guys and using non-binary pronouns, and the guys are usually dressed up as girls. The straight hetero girls are usually liberal women as well. I mean why? Is anime and video games not interesting for conservatives?

American Conservatives and ‘The Right’ mostly abandoned the Humanities and creative fields by the late 90s and early 2000s in academia for a variety of reasons. Meaning many of the people institutions are churning out now to fill roles at game companies etc. Are parroting the appropriate university politics.
And the American Conservatives are only now barely shaking off the stigma of being the boomers and moral busybodies who tried to ban DnD, Pokémon, and (insert popular 80s-90s and early 2000s franchise for teenagers/kids). And realizing pop-culture isn’t something you are able to ignore. Or squash. Much to the bitter coping of the remnants of the Christian Conservative Busybodies of the 80s and 90s like Matt Walsh.
And we see the result of abandoning a battlefield.
