I disagree. We should be able to vote using blockchain technology, we should have to register with 2 forms of Identification, a state and federal and provide proof of continuous residency in the location where one is intending to vote.

We should have to go, in person, to an election board to register and receive our 'votecoin', which could be in the form of a satoshi-like (smallest possible amount of bitcoin / other cryptocurrency) colored coin, that symbolically represents a single vote.

And finally, we should be able to SELF TALLY by looking up how we voted later. We do this by tying our ballot_ID and voter_ID which is obfuscated in such a way that only WE OURSELVES can decrypt the identity of.

One such technology is fully homomophic encryption technology on a smart contract enabled blockchain, and the privacy crypto that comes to mind is DERO but you could also create something special purpose out of forking MONERO

With fully homomorphic encryption, you'd be able to verify your vote within the tally, without anyone else being able to 'see' how you voted, unless you so allowed it.

And finally, we should be able to vote whenever in the F we want, and it should be encrypted, so that NO ONE KNOWS how you voted (except you, single blind) until election day, so they can't make up fake ballots to defeat your vote

I would lock in my vote for Trump right now. And then I'd just wait.

I think it might even be wise to have a flag / option on your ballot that lets you opt out of tally until election day, or you can allow yours to be tallied, or you can opt to ANTI tally, meaning it's counted as the opponent until election day, that way you can deceive anyone who attempts to misuse or propagandize the tally prematurely
