Not surprised in a way. Elton John was very close to Diana, and Diana, JFK Jr & Trump were very close.

Princess Diana was not close to Trump.

Perhaps it because I'm older, but I hear so many myths about times I lived through

Trump said he met her one time.

Yep and reportedly EJ had Diana had fallen out and weren’t really on speaking terms at the time to her death? I do kinda recall that being talked about in the press at the time (when he reworked candle in the wind for her funeral)
