We have hypersonic manned flight but China and Russia are soooo far ahead of us on hypersonic missiles. The SR-71 cruised at Mach 3.2 and thats probably a lie by DoD. Was probably faster. We could achieve that in manned flight in the early 60s. We are 60 years down the road from that. You cant convince me we went from bi-planes to the SR-71 in 60 years but hardly improved in the 60 since.
SR-72 is the tech now it's officially finished its role in classified operations. That's confirmation enough that there's an "SR-73" in full operation.
What we do know is the declass report of the tech that's now being called SR-72, fits the description of the "aurora" plane and the declass stated it had advanced optical camouflage so that it's underside looked like the sky above back in the 70s (iirc), which we're not there yet.
The black projects are at least 60 years ahead of what we know in the unclassified world.
Sounds like that may have finally gone into production on the SR-72 Darkstar which is said to reach mach 6+. https://youtu.be/l9dtgBHZbxM

I am with you on that. No doubt they have propulsion and other technologies far more advanced than what we are shown.
