On September 8, 2024, Sanija Ameti, a shooting enthusiast, took to the stage on an Instagram publication in which she shot at an image of the Virgin and Child taken from an auction catalog, then apologized and deleted the publication claiming that she hadn't paid attention to the nature of the image. The following day, the Jeunes UDC and Nicolas Rimoldi announced that they were filing a criminal complaint for infringement of freedom of belief and worship.
