Yea, because in the 40s and 50s, we did a lot of super ethical science that was really overtly concerned with health care outcomes for the participants. We used to put x-ray machines at shoe stores so we could irradiate your feet with an uncalibrated dose just to ensure your shoe fit looked good. (We stopped when we realized the x-rays were blowing out the eyes of the shoe store employees).
They were so good at this that they didn't even feel the need to tell people they were in an experiment most of the time.
So.. rest easy.. we've been doing this since the 40s!
