I think most people just have kids either because they are lonely or feel some type of obligation to procreate. I'd say maybe 20% of parents have children intentionally and have a plan to raise them. I think a lot of problems we have is because people are spitting out kids and then neglect them and don't raise them. I'd rather have the overall population go down worldwide but have the number of intentional raised children go up.
If you're going to bring a life into this world YOU are responsible for their upbringing, including their education. Sitting in a chair in a box for 6hrs a day is not an educational environment. Teach your kids to learn and not wrought memorization.
Source- raised by a teacher that hated kids that could work with their hands and made a living by using them.
A lot of people are dumbed down into thinking that if you have kids (or more than 1 or 2), you're now adding to global warming and lack of food for the rest of the planet by the folks jetting around lecturing about climate change. I've met a couple married people already who seem pretty content just having pets instead of kids. I hope their pets know how to take care of their affairs and feed them in their golden years when the Deep State has bankrupted them.
And when they take so much of your income so that mom has to work outside the house, that's another reason kids aren't raised as well as they could be.
Me too, but I have to say that phones have a lot to do with the choice not to have a child.
Kids raised with phones don't need children - they have all their imaginary friends to talk to all day and can watch funny tiktoks about kids without all the bother.

Amen to that fact.
