Holy Father, in a TV show I happened to enjoy quite a bit, Ted Lasso, he uses this line to address a bully before humiliating him at darts: « Don’t be judgemental: be curious ». I find it especially relevant nowadays when people hide themselves behind trendy looks or flashy social media. Yes, we want to meet the real them, yes we want to have the goods to care for them. We should be direct and open to people and that is also what we should expect from them. We can’t own people because each and every one of us has the obligation to own himself, which also means preserve his own self from others’ domination. That Freedom is a Blessing and we pledge to keep it in its pristine condition.
