While having a family dinner last night, my daughter started off with saying how her sociology teacher is a huge supporter of Harris and how Karl Marx's philosophy is good for our country and the world. I about lost it but stayed calm and composed. Now I'm searching our threads for excellent video short resources describing the perils of Marxism and communism. Today's teens dont have the time to read long explanations about this topic which is why I'm seeking short form content that is easily digestible.

Tell her to read about China's "Great Leap Forward." Even Wikipedia is decent about it. Obviously depends how old she is, but self-research and thinking teach much better than instruction without involvement.
And ask her about incentives. If everybody receives the same, why would anyone work at all? "From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs" is a central tenet of Marxism, but a pure fallacy when you focus on incentives.
That's very insightful and extremely easy to understand from a 17 year old perspective. Appreciate all the helpful feedback and suggestions.

Ask questions. Relentlessly.
Why is there no middle class in communist societies? Why does communism require violence and the state? Who protects the minorities? How? What type of political system do you have? How do you prevent atrocities? Are citizens allowed to have weapons? (Marx was a big 2A proponent) How is productivity rewarded? Who is in control? Who makes the rules and how?
Funny enough, you pepper them with questions enough and they start trying to answer them, they get mad and stop talking to you.
