It could be they've missed a few pieces and have decided they can't take any chances - not when the "selection" is just a few weeks away. Diddy has to go because he knows too much and has too much on all the big ones, and something behind the scenes was getting out of control. Easy solution is prison, where he can be completely controlled and everything he has can be confiscated.
