I was thinking along those lines too. CNN has come real close to being honest at least two times in the last six months. I think that they are 'trying to get ahead of' the trouble they are in when the boss gets back.

They know the boss will be back. I need to use this quick analogy. It is like the teacher telling his/her students that they need to behave themselves while the teacher is out of the room. Instead, it turns into complete chaos with a mess everywhere. Then somebody comes into the room to warn the students that the teacher is coming back, so everything needs to be cleaned up.
