I tried it for about a week but got some serious side effects which I’m not sure if it’s normal. I felt extremely lethargic and fatigued along with brain fog. Couldn’t function normal and get work done so had to stop. Has anyone else experienced this? I read somewhere when doing this your cholesterol markers could increase for a few months as it clears from your body. Could these side effects have to do with cholesterol being released into my system and just something I need to power through?
This is a great question. This sounds like a Herxheimer reaction from vitamin C to me.
Different people have different Herxheimer reaction symptoms to vitamin C. I would Google it and look around to see if anyone has a similar experience.
One way around this would be to cut the vitamin C dose down to 500 mg twice a day instead of 2000 mg twice a day.
Keep the usual lysing dose the same for a couple days so you can ascertain whether or not it was the vitamin C.
The lysine is what dissolves the blockages. The vitamin C is what heals the endothelial layer inside the artery.
Scale back on the vitamin C. Keep the lysine the same as before. Every once in a while try to bump the vitamin C those up a little bit until you get to the original amount.
Quite a few people have said they suffered from poor cardiovascular endurance. Couldn't play with the kids or chase the dog for a few minutes without getting completely out of breath and having to stop.
They saw significant improvements in those symptoms within a week.
I am not a doctor and everybody's situation is different. Discernment is key. But this therapy was developed initially by Linus Pauling, the only winner of two unshared Nobel prizes.

You might be right. I also have histamine issues so makes sense it could be the vitamin c.

I also suffered similar side effects and stopped after about a week. I found this natural version which seemed to work:
