In other words, when congressmen get arrested for treason, cheating in elections, pedophilia, child and/or drug trafficking, etc. they want the seats to be retained by the party whose members were arrested, not we the people who are the rightful owners.
Exactly, in a real mass casualty event it's a given the military takes over until an emergency election takes place. Seems wildly unnecessary to do a constitutional amendment unless it's for what you state
They are not even talking about a constitutional amendment. It is repeatedly referred to as "a bill" that they are considering, so they are simply planning to try and change The Constitution by passing a legislative bill, which of course, is unconstitutional.
If they wish to change how federal representatives are chosen, then they need to do so with a constitutional amendment, which is NOT what they are trying to do. The Constitution clearly specifies that House representatives can only be chosen through elections. They are counting on the ignorance of most Americans, and that these sheeple, through ignorance and apathy, will allow them to get away with a blatantly unconstitutional action.
Even if the people knew, congress wouldn't care and will do what they want anyway. What are people gonna do, call and write them letters and emails expressing their dissatisfaction?
