I can attest to this! I've been on a meat, veg, dairy diet since July 1st and so far it's cured my cavities, headaches, and PMS. I have returned to my body weight from when I was a sophomore in high school (115lbs) and I have consistent energy throughout the day without needing a coffee. I still drink coffee, but I don't rely on it. Something else I've noticed, I have better stamina now as if I consistently workout. I don't feel winded when I go for long hikes or do an arduous physical task. I do lead a somewhat active lifestyle keeping up with my kids, but I don't normally go out of my way to exercise. At the start of the diet, I definitely felt weaker without the carbs, but now if I eat any carbohydrate I feel bogged down and gross. Don't know if my body will continue to feel good or if I'll hit a wall one day, but I intend on keeping up with it. For anyone worried about losing too much, I'm no longer losing any more weight and it's probably because I'm at my ideal healthy target. I think our bodies were meant to be on this diet. I feel awesome and all it takes is sheer willpower.
I'm in good company! Been on a high fat low carb diet going on 2 years now, and have energy and a good weight. Also, my mood has stabilized(no highs and lows).
The question I have is on cavities...you said they "cured" your cavities?
Havent been to the dentist in awhile, so that would be nice if my diet worked on that.;-)
I have an amazing dentist who stay current with updated data & research. He has said for a long time that sugar doesn't cause cavities, acids do. He also has seen many of his patients reverse small cavities with water flossing & using a high mineral & silver mouthwash (Elementa is the brand name I believe). He was saying it looks like both a neutral pH & the minerals are needed to rebuild. He also noted that not all of his patients have had enough success rebuilding their teeth, though it is at least a good first step from his observation.
I should ask him if he has tracked vegan/carnivore/keto/US Standard/vegetarian lifestyles in combination with these results. He loves to learn & insurance won't pay for half of what he does because "it isn't necessary". His patients track records beg to differ.
Yes I believe my diet has cured my cavities although I cannot say with 100% certainty until I see a dentist. I used to have a toothache anytime I ate something sugary. I would have to chew my food on the other side of my mouth, but eventually a tooth on that side started aching if I had sweet drinks. I went on the diet and was without sugar so I never had toothaches. A few weeks ago, I decided to have a weekend of cheating. I ate hard candy, drank soda and had ice cream and there was zero pain. I almost forgot that my teeth used to bother me at all. There is still a little gray speck on the top and in the center of the tooth with the first cavity and I only see a light brown mark on the second. Not sure if they are just stained now? I've since cheated here and there and still there is no pain.
Everyone always says you can't cure cavities, but that might just be another Big Pharma lie. I don't use fluoridated toothpaste because that stuff is poison. Of course it's dentist's favorite substance and they cake it all over your mouth and tell you not to scrub it off for a day whenever you get a cleaning. It's been proven to lower IQ in school children yet they still make most toothpastes with it and fill the water supply with it.
If people knew they could cure their own cavities with a certain kind of diet, it may lead people to realize they can cure themselves of other diseases with that diet too. Then the whole medical industry would only exist to help trauma victims, which would lead to considerable downsizing.
before I started carnivore I was on real shit diet, like ramen, pasta, candies, and when I started eating steak, my teeth felt weak..and then a couple weeks later I could feel my teeth getting stronger and no problem chewing off big chunk of meat. Also, when I fall back and eat chocolate or a piece of candy I can feel my back tooth started aching, and when I stopped, a couple days later is fine again , and so far no new cavities since 2019.. a daily reminder for me to stick to this diet :)
just go keto carnivore..
Look at this 83 y.o rancher, Maggie, ..don't we all wanna be like her?

Meanwhile my 78 y.o MIL is already going senile..she doesn't wanna eat any eggs or bacon, just cupcakes, cookies, muffins everyday.
