Bro,there is a reason we call it in Europe "junk food". Except maybe Brits - they too love bathing in fat and being faaaaat (but we too have growing obesity problems in Europe because healthy food prices are growing crazy)
I don't know you like Vance or not (not being in GAW for a looong time),but even he mentioned in his book that proper diet (combined by experts of US military) instead of eating junk food took part in changing his life after boot camp and service for better.
Burgers and pizza = Too much fat and carbohydrates released TOO FAST to your blood => sugar level skyrocketing in blood => diabetes. Those carbohydrates in Burgers and pizza release sugar (glucose) for very short time -> you will soon be hungry again -> so you will overeat over and over again -> being fat and diabetes.
Then people back in the 1940's would have been fat just like many people are today cuz they had burgers and pizzas back then?
I understand the logic but I also believe it's the chemicals that goes into burgers and pizzas that has changed since the 1940's that caused people to be fatter today compared to the days of old.

The "problem" is real food requires some effort and time to cook it. While in any bar time is money,and faster is better.

No. But the composition of their food were similar to burgers and pizzas. You know - diet having so much fat and simple carbohydrates can be great for people working very hard physically. But if it would become tradition and those people would end working so hard... It would have such results like buying car with diesel engine but tanking it with gasoline because you were used to tank it in your old car.
Nothing wrong with burgers and pizza in principle, just don't eat it every single day and source better ingredients.
