A retired ATF agent said no ATF agent would be in a suit, and if he asked for pictures it typically would have been of the gun model and serial number, and that as of 2021 they didn’t do stuff with facial recognition in the ATF.

So probably a handler from another 3 letter agency. Where’s the photos of this supposed agent?
