And wouldn't ya know, I'm outta popcorn...
I know where I'm stopping on the way home!
Certainly feeling like the precipice is eminent. Definitely more so than two weeks ago kek
Edit: Shit, forgot the popcorn.
Based on what? Arrests?
The precipice is for us lol
What’s weird is that Congress is taking the entire month of October off. Rumor has it that they are preparing for a mass casualty event.
Maybe the mass casualty event will be most of Congress going to jail.
Highly doubtful.
Pretty sure every time this happens, people treat it as notable but it also happens every time.
🤭
Where do you see they are taking the entire month off?
Congress often has recess periods in October, particularly in election years when members might return to their home states or districts for campaigning.
There are 251 business/work days in 2024. The Senate will have worked 108 days and the House will have worked 92. The Senate have 143 days off and the House has 159 days off this year. I don’t believe that some of the occasional late night voting would total the days off. They should not be paid for campaign appearances. I think the Congress can schedule 2 or 3 sessions per year. Paid only for those sessions, the rest of the time reside in the state they represent. Paid per diem for hotel stays for sessions.
