I knew someone just a few years ago who was openly racist and hateful toward pretty much all black people. She thought because I was conservative that I would agree with her. I did not. And I told her something similar to what this man said. Black Americans share a common heritage and story with white Americans, even if we arrived here to this continent for very different reasons. We've been through some shit together as Americans from the very start, and we share a common language, religion, and culture, especially in the South, as ugly as it may have been at certain points. And it's interesting. I live in the Southeast, and blacks and whites generally get along very well here. There's just an understanding and acceptance, especially among older people, that other races don't seem to share, not that other races aren't also just as American. But when the shit hits the fan, and it is right now, black and white people are going to be fighting the common enemy together. We already see that happening in certain areas. Even the Chicago gangs are standing up to the invading Mexican cartels.
But as a teacher, I notice this understanding has changed some with younger people. Many black kids have been taught by BLM and politicians and professors to hate America and white people. And that's by design. In reality, what this man is saying is the truth, and blacks and whites need to understand this and work together to save this country. We need each other.
And for any people on this board who have a problem with black people, well, as a teacher, I see just as many white kids, if not more, from broken homes and messed up families. It's not just a black problem. As a country, we need a total moral overhaul and renewal to make things right.

Exactly.
