House fire during Hurricane Helene

As the water rose in Tampa during Hurricane Helene, fires also started to break out, and some of them started because of electric cars. Electric and water may not mix, but lithium-ion batteries present a whole new danger after a hurricane.

Yeah, well I'll bet there's been a bunch of arson. Most people here in florida have fire insurance but not hurricane or flood. I live about 50 miles from the coast and my insurance covers hurricane. Flood for me isn't an issue I live on a big hill and everything runs off. But when I wasnlooking for a cheaper policy, nobody would cover hurricane.
