I took my disabled adult son to the doctor today and the reception asked me if he was ever in the military. She stated it was something they were now required to ask. What's going on? She stated one of her twin sons received a selective service card in the mail but the older twin did not. Are they bringing back the draft?

I think some of you are close. I believe they are trying to figure out how many people are likely to have firearms in their homes. Ex-military are very likely to have firearms. Probably more likely than currently serving military because they are not allowed on many (if not most) bases unless kept in an armory. It includes both dorms and base housing.
For a while, doctors would actually come right out and ask if there were any firearms in the home but people got PISSED at their prying and nosiness. This is probably another shot at that.
