They are still trying to say that the Big Steal did not happen.

The vice president is the president of the senate. The link I provided is to "USC Title 3 Section 15. Section 15 of Title 3 of the United States Code, also known as the Electoral Count Act (ECA), outlines the procedures for counting electoral votes following a presidential election." The president of the senate was supposed to open each certificate and ask for objections from the Senate and house, and if there were any objections, they were supposed to discuss and vote before moving on to the next certificate. But it was changed last year so that the president of the senate is now just a figure head, but wasn't in effect for the 2020 steal.
I understand. I get what you're saying. However, don't you think that is counter to the separation of powers? The Vice President/President-of-the-Senate is the one who counts the votes. So it doesn't make sense for Congress to try to pass some shit to tell the vice president what he/she can or cannot do. Vice President should count how they want to count. Pence is a fruit loop, and fucked up for sure.
I completely agree with you. It's definitely counter to the separation of powers. Just like Congress voting themselves a raise all the time. I'm just pointing out that they changed their "law" to make sure it can't happen in the future. Will be interesting to see if a similar thing happens this next election with Kamelhoe being in charge of counting. Bwahahaha!
