Apparently in these mountainous areas that are flooding, one of the richest lithium deposits in the world is located plus a rich quartz mine also is in those mountains. Large companies tried to buy land around those mines and the residents objected, then suddenly floods appear in the mountains destroying lives and property. And to top this devastation to the people, no one in the mountains buy flood insurance - go figure??? Sad!
