I remember my dad, who was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, telling me that that city’s elected officials and its mayor were corrupt democrats for as long as he could remember. He was born in 1929 so it’s been dirty for a LONG time. The Mafia was a big thing when he was growing up. There was a Daly running it then.
