Military Contractors, Former Officials Targeted by Russian Hackers Disrupted by US and Microsoft
The group, known as Star Blizzard to cyberespionage experts, targeted its victims with emails that appeared to come from a trusted source — a tactic known as spear phishing.
So it's Russia, Russia, Russia 2.0?
Anyone revealing account details and opening their device to spear-fishing attempts - by replying to, or pushing links in a random email - when they are working for a 'think-tank', are stoopid. Anyone working in public service should have a robust fire-wall and an IT policy. If they get hacked in such a way, they do not deserve their amaaazing 'academic' accolades, and deserve whatever is coming to them.
American think-tanks are an oxymoron anyway. They know nothing of C21 warfare, and talk in ideological wants. We did realize that US has clandestinely declared war on Russia, right? Oh, and Russia has nukes.
So, we can see that the think-tanks are still talking WW2 Patton (tank maneuvers) tactics, or have a look at:

Also Star-Blizzard. Pull the other one - it has bells on it. Definitely Russian /s. Yep. I mean Stars are TOATS Russian, and Russians have akshual snow. So makes sense, right? Right?
