Stock prices can only be understood in the context of how many shares there are.

If a billion dollar company only issued one share, that "stock price" would be one billion dollars.

Likewise we have penny stocks - you can have a million dollar company issue 100 million shares and they're all only a penny a piece.

Price outside of this context is meaningless.
