I live near there. Seems to be still mostly fairly safe, if you don't act stupid, or don't get unlucky. But steadily getting less so. Situational awareness is a good habit.
Turku is one of the most multicultured cities in Finland with all the problems of large cities like LGBTQ+, woke, wef, criminal immigrant gangs robbing people, etc.
I was in the middle of Turku during the night a few times last summer, including during the weekends. Seems to be fairly safe, again at least as long as you are not drunk and keep your eyes open.
But then the worst thing to happen in Turku during the last years was that terrorist knife attack 2017, and that happened in the middle of the afternoon, in the middle of the city, and only about a mile, or a kilometer and a half, from the police headquarters for the whole province of Southwestern Finland.
I haven't actually tried to check this, but the rumor is that the police who shot the Moroccan stabber - not killed, unfortunately - was fired afterwards.
Hi Chukna, hadn’t seen you in a while. All ok?
Missus is going home to Turku to see her mom for November, I think that’s still a nice Finnish area, un WEF’d

Always seemed safe to me, but i dont do night time in cities. Her family live in the country, about an hour away from the city.
All cities are over run with 3rd world parasites these days.
