It wasn't bad enough that my second hometown was wiped out in Opal and Michael on the panhandle. Now everything just west of me in NC has been destroyed. And here we go with Milton, a dead center hit on the Tampa region which I have many relatives and friends. I'm sick to my stomach. At least DeSantis is doing the right thing. Cooper just sat with his thumb up his ass and is still doing nothing other than the bare minimum.
We have a good, pro-active Governor.... which is why we chose FL over TN a few years ago.
If they are wise, they will move inland or head somewhere else safe. I'm in Polk county, pretty much center of state. usually only bad wind tears up the trees.
2 models as of yesterday predict a 5 with around 200mph winds, I would get the F out if possible. That's a rare-event level of catastrophic hurricane if those models end up being right.
yep, this looks crazy
I've got friends and family all coast Tampa. Most of my family is in Hernando County. Wind and rain but no storm surge there.
Desantis is doing a great job
