Fellow pilots, correct me if I'm wrong: I don't think aircraft altimeters go that low.
Aircraft Altimeters have a Altitude setting so it's adjustable but my husband who's a civilian pilot doesn't think they go that low...not sure about Military or Commercial Aircraft..
Yeah, i've been trying to do the math in my head. I think that altimeter setting works out to a density altitude of -3000 some feet MSL.
You need a clearance from the Bureau of Land Management to operate there.
