That’s what I’ve been saying.
Wyoming is desert, takes about 500 acres to support a single head of cattle in many places. Burning the fields doesn't destroy it enough to make people leave. One good winter and it will grow mostly back. Fire will release the seeds laying g on the ground and the land will heal. Nobody really has to move away. It was the same when I lived in Idaho. Range fires were common.

Talked to a relative just now that lives in WY and they said Big Horns has up to 75K acres burning. Nothing about Tetons.
Also fire fighters can't contain it so they are just focused on protecting homes right now.

Really? I thought the main issue threatening the "Wyoming Checkerboard" is the gov wanting to acquire rights to all of it for fracking
Actually I think nothing would end the electric car stuff faster than lithium deposits all burning up.
