Spot on. One thing they don’t discuss is the volume of historical content through DVDs and services. There’s enough content out there to watch even if no more content is created. Sports drive people to watch the latest episode, but good TV shows and movies don’t require that people turn on and tune in. In that sense, Hollywood is up against its old self. Why would I pay for unfinished new content season by season when I could stick to watching finished content with good reviews?
