That something really big or bad will happen?
Stock market crash? Currency devaluation? Civil unrest?
It's a really sinking feeling. Am I the only one?

Nope. Quite the opposite.
Remember 2020? COVID, George Floyd riots. People toppling statues all over the country, people burning buildings down without any consequence, people being beaten up for wearing a red hat, rainbow flags hanging from government buildings and being painted on streets, mask mandates, lockdowns, small businesses closing down.
At the beginning of 2024 I had a sense of dread. I thought this year would be worse than 2020. But look! We made it to the middle of October without anything too crazy happening across the country. Of course there were the hurricanes but the country as a whole is in much better shape than I expected.
I'm not saying they spoiled brats won't do something evil. I'm sure they will. But from what I'm seeing the white hats are in control. We have just a few weeks to go and all is well (with some sad exceptions).
Be prepared but don't be scared. The best is yet to come!
Very good point, and I was thinking the same thing. It's gone amazingly well compared to 2020.
