People do pull together in an emergency. When there are fires in or around Reno, people with horse trailers will offer their help to evacuate the livestock and horses. Others outside of the danger zone offer to house the animals. Others will donate feed for those dislocated animals. And yes, even some of the casinos will step up and offer steeply discounted hotel rooms (most were $49.00) and waiving the ridiculous resort fees (some didn't - I'm looking at you Peppermill and Nugget!) and sometimes waiving the "no pets" rule (J Resort did that last month during the Davis Fire)
