Most of us are here cuz someone in our past came to this great country. Our forefathers were hated for no other reason but being "Irish polish German Japanese ". I'm embarrassed by some of this rhetoric. A rising tide lifts all boats . Minus the criminal element these are good people willing to work. I've been around and have seen what easy living has done to the American youth and its alarming and disturbing

I'm thinking of the example the "Americans won't clean toilets" comment we keep hearing. It basically says we need illegals to do those jobs. My assertion is that if they leave, the business owners will have to pay someone more money to do the dirty jobs.
Additionally the money illegals make doesn't stay in our economy it is sent back to the families they left behind. If Americans do those jobs (at a fair wage) that money is used here in our economy.

That's a fair assessment but ... I was disappointed to hear the anti immigrant rhetoric . It comes from ignorance of a culture we should be welcoming. The Latinos are family oriented conservative based and would help our movement be unstoppable for generations. We need to help them see that the dems are just using them. I have been immersed in their culture most of my life and know them well. I hope the people that posted hate filled ignorance here take he time to meet their neighbors and learn what I've known for years.

Mine came in 1631. Ellis Island didn't exist then and we were all Englishmen as America didn't exist either.
