Option 1. The sheriff was gung-ho to stop a Trump shooting and overreacted. That doesn't explain the IDs and guns! Option 2. Feds tried to get Trump again which does explain the evidence and why he was released on $5000 bond. Any other versions please post - I'm going with Option 1. Could be a set up by Feds but then why release him at all?

The guy violated gun laws in CA, even if they are unconstitutional. Furthermore he knowingly attempted to enter a federally restricted area with loaded weapons.
