Kubrick was a high level "inside guy" with the Cabal for sure. I think they trusted him a lot. You will see symbolism in all his movies, because thats his "mason signature" so to speak.
However, I think Eyes wide shut was different.He set out to expose the inner workings of the Satanists and he went too far. They forced him to cut some scenes, and when he didnt agree they killed him soon after.
How far was he into the Satanism? Can't tell, because a lot of these "cabal guys" are actually not even allowed to peer behind the curtains. They surely have enough blackmail on them to be trusted, but as they are initiated deeper into the Satanic levels, some of them try to get out and then they get taken out.
