They have no money to help anyone, so they confiscate supplies that good people are donating and not giving it to US citizens in need, and now that everyone sees them for what they are they are making up (? - 72-hour rule here) a story about militias out to "get them" so they can abandon ship and say, "these people don't want our help, so for our safety we are leaving".
Sounds like they are using this as a way to leave because they have no money for US citizens. To save face or something, but we all know they have nothing left to give because they have been giving it all to illegals.
