Between these and AI, what in the world is the world going to look like in 2 years?
Total fantasy...
As a mechatronic engineer of sorts, I'll tell you the reality is ... every task you want that thing to do requires you to program it to do that EXACT & SPECIFIC task.
You would have to guide this machine through EVERY kinematic motion - essentially, digitizing each movement so that the joint encoders et al record the position of EACH movement for EVERY task, at the appropriate level of acceleration, velocity and force.
Yes, fuzzy logic etc coupled with advanced machine vision can help this learning process, but don't be fooled... it's not as slick as you think it is just yet. It's got a long way to go.
Hate to go there, but I'm going to anyway because it's true reality...Pervs will notice first off it doesn't have a mouth opening... and that's what Joe six pack, already a non-contributing zero of society, will focus on as the only useful application of this technology. I like to call a rose a rose. "To deny our own impulses is to deny the very thing that makes us human" -Mouse
Cue Joe six pack's anthem: He likes books about war
Learning to deny our impulses should be a core feature of Christianity, but we’re currently off track.
We can, should, and must do better.
It may also be good for robots to be harder to train initially to keep “Joe Six Pack” from impulsing with them out of frustration.
Good stuff! These are the kinds of thoughts I was looking for.
Well...yanno...If God didn't want you to do it, He'd have put it in the middle of your back where you couldn't reach it. So there is that...lol
