I'm driving through Oregon and Trump/Vance signs are everywhere. With the exception of Portland proper it's total Trump country.

Which is why I think States need their own electoral colleges. Enough of the big cities telling the rest of the State how it's going to live.

I'll never be convinced the big cities and urban centers are actually blue. That's just where they can get away with the most fraud. (think Chicago, Philly, etc)

I’ve always thought it was because urban dwellers are totally dependent on government and food markets. Police and fire for emergencies, road work, water, etc. rural folks know they have to be prepared to handle emergencies, crime, etc. They have their own water supply and often grow their own food.
