I've always thought that removing the states representatives at the federal level from each states control was the biggest mistake. Once they became employees of the federal govt, there was ZERO reason to remain loyal to the state while EVERY reason to be loyal to the party/fed govt. State governors and/or legislatures at one time had the power to remove a representative or senator if they weren't voting how the state wanted them to vote. We need that back.
Repeal the 17 amendment.

They were intended to be an important check against the populist house.
Now senators can do what they like for 4 years,and only pay attention to the people,when they need to run again.

The 14th amendment needs to be done away with as well, I mean since it was never completely ratified.
