It depends on your state voting laws. I know here in oklahoma you can't wear political clothing or display any signs closer than 750 feet or around that distance,from the polls.
Polls used to be rowdy with a lot of free beer and such. They had gangs to intimidate people voting for the other party,right at the polling place. Certain people had trouble voting in the south......
Louisiana has similar laws regarding "politic free" zone around voting places. I agree with it. Everyone should feel comfortable at their own voting precinct. There really is no reason to push any political agenda in the immediate vicinity of the election centers.

It's not my rule. I just know from putting up thousands of signs that states have rules.

Laws were passed to clean things up.
We have a similar law in Missouri but not that distance. I think it's probably 50 or 75 ft.
I used to drive around putting up signs near the polling places all the time. Sometimes they would call party headquarters and make us move them....
