I can tell you why they hated Castro so much. He kicked the Roman Catholic church's child trafficking, gambling, and other subversive activities out. He nationalized industries and they didn't like that either. So this policy of the United States cow towing to the rich Cubans that left for Florida for all these decades. It is a stupid policy. We should never do foreign policy on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church under any circumstance.
