25 years ago, when my darling and I moved to where we live now (for work), we were stunned to learn that milking welfare and charity was a lifestyle path/choice for a lot of late GenXers and millennials. We'd never seen anything like it, nor could imagine it.
There were actually organized meetings of them at the local degree mill (liberal arts college) where they would share intel on how to do this. They produced nothing for others, they just saw their role as taking, because they could. They hated "rich people," they hated Republicans, they hated business owners, they hated the military...so some of them excused their parasitism by saying, "We stickin it to the man."
