True, the born again people are the Church, the bride of Christ.
The word church has also come to mean a gathering place of 'believers' where one can meet, shake hands, give money, listen to 45 minutes of music, give money again, and maybe listen to 15 minutes of preaching about how the 'pastor' heard directly from God about the need for money for the building fund or 'felt led' to do something he (or she) wanted to do anyway. Thus, the Church can go to church and have church and get churched at the church house.
I wouldn't exactly call that place a church of God. The Church is is people not the building. Church can happen in a field or your living room.
