Of course, and there is nothing that stops from taxing commerce. Tariffs. Sales taxes. Import and excise duties etc.
Once we get rid of expenses like tax to Fed, welfare, foreign aid, black ops, all kinds of liberal funding, most regulatory agencies etc, you will be cutting down spending by 90%.
Economy must be run with real production of value.
Government must spend on things of real value for people.
When we talk about abolishing income taxes, its the taxes on direct income. Money taken away from you purely because you worked hard and earned more than someone who did not.
Income tax = Theft of labour = Slavery.
